How to address shooting on dead bodies in Fortnite
There are two kinds of people in this world.
One who shoots dead bodies, one who doesn't.
I didn't start writing this as a joke. I put a deep meaning into this.
You have already been proved as a patient person as you're reading this article right now so I believe you are the "one who doesn't". I am writing this for "ones who are shot".
The reason why I chose to write this way at the beginning is because this issue causes a sterile controversy like many people who shoot dead bodies are Switch players, kids, or immature adults whose mental age are elementary or junior high school students.
The last part is especially very rude to elementary and junior high school students. Of course, if we could get proper statistics, we might be able to reach such a reality, or there might be such a tendency.
However, I don't think such analysis is meaningful. In the end, it is a matter of individual behavior.
There are many elementary and junior high school students who are well educated.
This blog is written by a 40-year-old man, mainly for over 40s guys. As a mature adult, you don't need to get mad about shooting on dead bodies. Instead, I hope you guys to have a relaxed mind like
"Oh, boy, shooting dead bodies."
Then, report the player in the back.
Steps to report
When you are killed, you see options right down corner of your screen like a screen shot above. If you were over killed, select "REPORT PLAYER" here.
In the screen of [REASON FOR CONTACT] shown next, select "REPORT PLAYER" again.
In the next [REPORT PLAYER] screen, select "Harassment / Abusive Gameplay".
In my personal opinion, other than such an abstract expression, if EPIC add an option like "Shooting dead bodies" specifically, then it must work as a deterrent.
If I would request one more, I want EPIC to create an additional option of "Too Strong"
It's done when you selct the player to report in the next screen.
You can also report your teammates here but this option seems to be intended to report players if you encounter any bad teammates when you play with "fill option".
Please be aware that this is never for report your friends in the back to trap your friends. Please do not show your dark side here.
Effect of reporting
Some may wonder this kind of report is effective. However, when you continue to report, one day, you may see a notice below after launching Fortnite.
Measures have been taken!
Implementation of Punishment
Appropriate punishments have been implemented for the disruptive behavior of the players who reported the incident.
Thank you for helping us maintain a fun and friendly Fortnite community!
At first glance, the tone is cheerful, but I shudder to imagine what kind of punishment was meted out.
There's an internal investigation going on behind by the left guy (He is supposed to be secret police.). Once he confirmed the crime, the right armed woman was using force to control the situation.
I recommend you amateurs not to follow this any deeper for your sakes as you see dangerous wordings like "Measures", "Punishment" and "Implementation of Punishment".
Meanwhile, when I read the part of "Thank you for helping us maintain a fun and friendly Fortnite community!",I felt my heart is getting warmer.
Please readers (over 40s guys) look back your lives. Have you contributed any communities or have you been appreciated by somebody else recently?
So, I have been driven by passion to cooperate to "maintain a fun and friendly Fortnite community!" , I am continuing to report everyday.
